Warrington Township is contracted with the SPCA of York County for animal care and housing. The following services are provided to our residents: dog licensing and micro-chipping clinics; low-cost spay/neuter assistance including programs for outdoor stray cat colonies and free spay/neuter for all pit bulls; humane investigations, citations and prosecutions of animal cruelty and neglect; veterinary care for sick and injured animals through SPCA Second Chance Program; Temporary foster and veterinary care for pets of domestic abuse victims seeking shelter through ACCESS-York and SafeHome of Hanover through SPCA SafePet Program; Humane education programs for youth through elementary and secondary educational institutions; pet food for elderly residents living on a fixed income or for financially disadvantaged residents through SPCA Chow for Pals Program. The SPCA is a dog licensing agent for York County.
